Sustainable Revoloution

The rise of “fast-fashion” and the rapid replacement of different trends create a large surplus of clothes in the closet of the fashion consumer.

This garment was designed as a solution to this problem, as it is a modular garment that provides a number of different and interchangeable wearing options. In addition to saving more room in the closet, this garment enables the fashion consumer to adopt a sustainable approach without having to give up an abundance of wearing options.

The garment can be worn as a jacket, a pair of pants, a skirt, a dress and a tank-top, as well as shorten and extend each one of these wearing options. In addition, this garment is two-sided, providing a choice to wear each option in two different colors and textile. This is a single garment that provides over 14 different wearing options.

I have created the garment applying Up-Cycling and Reconstruction techniques, by clothes intended for destruction that were donated to Shenkar by the Israeli fashion company “Renuar” as well as fabric remnants that I had at home and also collected from my colleagues.
